The Story:
The image is inspired by an a Budhist energy healing for food purification taught by Master Yu of http://www.lightawakeningtemple.com/about.htm . Leigh encountered Master Yu at some of his presentations in Amherst, MA in 2007 where Master Yu taught a visualization with a mantra for purifying food. The symbol tiled on a sheet of paper creates a similar effect as the energy healing but is not equal to it.
How exactly the Food Purifier changes the food is unknown, however, people who have participated in taste tests have found that bitter foods such as coffee and chocolate become significantly less bitter. Dense foods with fats and oils taste and feel lighter in the mouth and stomach and sweet foods become less sweet. Leigh loves the improvement it makes to chocolate. It makes it taste more smooth. Food also takes on a fascinating quality that can only be described as "Infused with Light", and gives the body the feeling of nurturing it gets from being exposed to the Sun.
Leigh has found that keeping several prints of these in his refrigerator has improved the self life of uncooked foods.
